Heather D. Rogers is a Board Certified Dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic surgery, photodynamic therapy, cosmetic dermatology, and laser surgery. She specializes in the prevention and treatment of sun damage and skin cancer.
A Washington native, Dr. Rogers graduated from Stanford University and received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. At the UW, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and graduated with distinction. Dr. Rogers completed her dermatology residency and fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. During her training, she served as chief resident and started the first skin cancer clinic for organ transplant patients in the state of New York. She also received a prestigious travel grant from the Womens Dermatologic Society allowing her to spend 6 weeks in Australia studying skin cancer and its treatments.
Dr. Rogers is an active member of many medical societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, Women's Dermatologic Society, and the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative. She has lectured internationally as well as published numerous articles and book chapters in the field of dermatology. She currently serves as a reviewer of manuscripts for the journal of Dermatologic Surgery, the official publication for the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. When not combating the consequences of too much sun at our Seattle dermatology office, Dr. Rogers enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family in the kitchen or on the water.
